The best rooms always come from bold choices. This guest room transformation started with a fabric, as most of my rooms do. Schumacher’s Persia Garden set the tone for this guest suite to be sophisticated but soft and most of all pretty. With such a bold print we didn’t want to add another busy pattern so we trimmed the white drapery, pillows and bedskirt with gross grain ribbon fret work, custom dyed to match the Persia. My absolute favorite part of this room is the lattice ceiling. There was no crown molding or other architectural or millwork details in the room so we had to add our own! Topped off with the blown glass light fixture, the ceiling feels more like a garden wall. Actually… I can’t decide my favorite part because I droll over the pink glass dresser, I want them in my room! This project was such a treat. I hope I get invited to spend the night!
