If you have been to Target in the past few days you know that the “holiday season” is well underway. To me that means lots of culinary endeavors and some Q.T with my Cuisinart. I really actually love to cook so entertaining and feeding might be my favorite part of the holiday season. But, lets face it, all of us would bring our A Game to the table every night if we loved our kitchen! I bet if you counted, you, your children and even your party guests spend most of the time in your kitchen… so make sure yours is well planned, functional and serves up a little eye candy too!
A few of my tops for every new kitchen:
~Upholstered seating area – it will be a soft balance to all the stone and metal and trust me, you will find someone lounging there everyday.
~Banquette breakfast nook – upholster it in faux leather and just wipe of spaghetti sauce!
~Pretty lighting – I love a good lantern in the kitchen…casual yet tailored
~Great molding and mullions
~Limestone or marble counters – yes, I know these scare builders but I know plenty of people with both and they are very happy
~Hidden tricks for dog food, silverware, plates….and more
~A great pantry for dry goods, serving pieces, linens…doesn’t that sound dreamy??
